BECOMING A PATIENT
We strive to provide the best possible care at every step in this process.
Our goal is to give each patient the natural health solutions that get to the root cause and care that results in lasting change for them. Our process is results-oriented and patient-centered. Our purpose and ultimate goal is supporting your experience of optimal living.
During the initial consultation (via telephone), you’ll meet one-on-one with your clinician to discuss your case in an un-pressured fashion. The purpose of the initial consultation is to take a look at how we can help you. This process makes sure entering into a care plan is the best fit for everyone so that you get the best care possible. Once the decision to move forward has been made, we’ll schedule your initial appointment!
Your First Appointment
New Patient Intake & Exam
At your first appointment, together we will dive into a comprehensive overview of the chief complaint as well as medical-history, past-history, lifestyle, and a multitude of other factors that likely contribute to your present condition and over-all health and wellness.
The inquiry process into your chief complaint here is unique in that it is guided by knowledge in Western Medical disease processes, and influenced by traditional Chinese Medicine pattern diagnosis. This allows for a greater understanding of the body and your condition as a whole. This visit will also include any pertinent neurological, orthopedic, and physical examinations that will help pave the way in understanding your particular case. This meeting is to get the big picture, begin discovering the root of the problem, and design an Initial Trial of Care that best fits you based on clinical evaluation. This appointment will also include your first treatment!
Initial Trial of Care
Treatment Plan & Follow-up Visits
During your first visit, your practitioner will go over exactly what we think will yield the best results for your condition. We organize everything into an Initial Trial of Care in which we expect results! Everything is clearly written out for you to take home and understand the whole process.
From here we schedule and move forward with your care plan in a results-oriented way. The treatment plan will include a high frequency initial schedule to ensure close support as you begin to feel the positive shifts of the therapy. We provide a clear estimate of the number of treatment sessions needed for the best possible outcome in your case.
Based on your individual presentation, we will schedule a re-evaluation date within your Initial Trial of Care. We expect you to see improvements and are dedicated to your progress. This appointment evaluates this progress and make adjustments to your care plan as needed.
Ensuring Long Term Results
As your symptoms clear up during your Trial of Care period and you’re back on track, we’ll start to reduce the frequency of your visits. This maintenance period allows us to make sure your symptoms stay gone for good. It also allows you and your practitioner to fine tune and notice things that might aggravate or instigate what we’ve worked hard to eliminate. This helps you to understand your body in a bigger way so your healing process is well rounded and long term.
After resolution of your complaint, for most we recommend and can help you choose a Wellness Plan that is right for you.
It’s also important to note that depending on the severity of your condition and for how long you’ve had it, the Maintenance Period of your care may be longer or shorter. For example, your Trial of Care period might be what gets you out of severe, acute pain, but its during your maintenance period that we slowly eliminate all the facets of your chronic condition.
Food for thought: A common care plan axiom in Natural Medicine states that for every year you’ve been struggling with your condition, expect to spend 3-6 months correcting it. Issues that have been around for a long time don’t go away overnight.
A Better You
Whether or not you’ve gone through a full care regiment with us, our Wellness Plans will keep you fine tuned and running strong!
The same way you get the oil changed in your car and get regular fixes and checks, so too should you care for your body in this way. Catching issues early is the best way to make sure they don’t settle into your system. Preventative Medicine models can catch and eliminate pain patterns and other systemic dysfunctions BEFORE it becomes something that begins to affect your daily life in a negative way.
Stress is a major factor in the onset many conditions. A Wellness Plan is also a stress management plan. Keeping you physically, mentally and emotionally balanced goes an incredibly long way in keeping you healthy well into your late years. Looking forward to working with you!
